Hollow Glazed Microsphere Inorganic Thermal Insulation Mortar
Hollow Glazed Microsphere Inorganic Thermal Insulation Mortar is a new type of inorganic thermal insulation material, primarily composed of hollow glazed microspheres and inorganic thermal insulation mortar. Hollow glazed microspheres are acidic vitreous lava minerals that undergo special technical treatment and production processes to form fine spherical particles with internal porosity and a glazed, sealed surface. Their main chemical components include SiO2, Al2O3, and CaO. The particle size ranges from 0.1 to 2 mm, the bulk density is 50–100 kg/m³, the thermal conductivity is 0.028–0.048 W/m·K, the floating rate exceeds 95%, the spheroidization and glazing rate is over 95%, the water absorption rate is less than 50%, and the melting temperature is 1200°C.
Features and Applications
Hollow Glazed Microsphere Inorganic Thermal Insulation Mortar has the following characteristics:
Lightweight: Due to the porous internal structure of the hollow glazed microspheres, the overall material is lightweight.
Excellent Thermal Insulation: The glazed surface provides certain particle strength, resulting in outstanding thermal insulation performance.
Good Fire Resistance: It offers excellent fire resistance and high-temperature resistance.
Superior Sound Absorption: Suitable for use in environments where sound absorption is required.
Eco-Friendly: Made from environmentally friendly materials, complying with industrial policies.
Construction Methods
During construction, the following points should be noted:
Base Treatment: Ensure the base surface is free of dust, oil, and any debris that may affect adhesion. In hot weather or when the base is dry, moisten the base with water to achieve a state of internal dampness and external dryness.
Interface Agent Treatment: Mix the specialized interface agent for the insulation system at a water-cement ratio of 1:4 until uniform, then apply it to the base in a zigzag pattern with a thickness of about 3 mm.
Mortar Mixing: Mix the inorganic thermal insulation mortar at a water-cement ratio of 4:5.5 into a slurry, ensuring it is uniform and free of lumps.
Application: Apply the mortar according to energy efficiency requirements. For thicknesses above 2 cm, apply in multiple layers, with each layer间隔 at least 24 hours.
Curing: After construction, cure for 3–5 days. Upon completion of curing, waterproofing treatment is recommended, followed by the installation of a protective layer.
